Community Building Theater: Creating a democratic classroom
This workshop focuses on the performance concept of “ensemble”—one group working together toward a common goal. In this workshop, theatrical activities support children to consider how to become self-aware and reflective of their impact and contribution to the whole student group. Activities are designed to cultivate a mutual, collaborative and inclusive classroom space.

Improv & Play for the Classroom
Sometimes we just need to get out of our heads, laugh and get creative together. This hands-on interactive workshop provides teachers with a toolbox of short activities to support students to release some energy. It offers theater games, movement, and improvisation activities that support a class to release energy while building community. It doesn't hurt that while we are learning how to engage the children that we get to let our hair down and be a little playful ourselves.

Performing Poetry in the Classroom
Poetry is a tool for expression, increasing self-esteem, and helping children to love and discover words. This workshop offers a series of poetry activities that teachers can integrate into their ELA or Creative Writing subjects. The workshop also offers tips for how to encourage children to grow in confidence in delivering poetry and celebrating each unique individual poet in the classroom.

Theater of the Oppressed: Role-playing toward freedom
Theater of the Oppressed is a performance-based restorative justice tool designed to support people to dismantle power and transform conflict into positive action. This workshop uses performance activities and storytelling to support educators in guiding students to safely examine possible solutions for conflicts they may encounter in their daily lives.

Verbatim Theatre
This workshop trains educators on how to create their own "Interview” or “Verbatim” theatre performance with students. The training begins with an introduction to Interview Theatre and a sample performance. Then guides participants through the step-by-step process of deciding on a topic, conducting interviews, crafting the performance and acting.

Theatre Arts Integration: Theatre as a learning tool
Many children learn best on their feet or through creative engagement. This hands-on interactive workshop provides teachers with a toolbox of activities to support student learning through theatre games and performance techniques.
