Mayra Carrillo (she/her), originally from Fresno, CA, is currently pursuing her BA in Theatre from the University of California, San Diego as a first-generation college student. Raised by immigrant parents, her work centers around the Latinx struggle and is deeply committed to anti-racism and the production of culturally accurate storytelling. She hopes to continue to use theater as a tool for activism of all kinds and to be able to inspire the creative minds of today’s youth.
