Some were born and raised here
Others just arrived
We are here to thrive
At the global crossroads
Of warm tortilla
Fresh coconut and chAyote
This is where we raise our children
Where we raise our voices
Listen

In a year where our choices have been limited
Locked down
Separated and shut-in
This community steps in
With hearts that are broken
But arms wide - open
We support one another
To be for me is to be for you
So we each ask
What more can I do?

In this moment of struggle
We organize for accessibility
No matter your language
Age
Computer literacy
We will work to change the policy
If need be
Rise up to this occasion
So that all people can live in equality
We are rising

Every tribe, tongue and nation
Gender, sexual orientation
The struggle continues
There are still unknowns
But in this community
We are not alone
